Can't install Defender errors: GDI+>Windows Installer>Windows Upda

Have W2K Pro SP4.
Downloaded and installed GDI+ then got the Windows Installer error.
Downloaded and installed Windows Installer
"WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86" then got the Windows Update error.
Windows Update is disabled on PC. Tried to change Group Policy.
What's next?

I've had the same problem, but after following this, it works..

Thanks, but I did that in step 1 below.
1) Downloaded and installed GDI+ then got the Windows Installer error.
2) Downloaded and installed Windows Installer
"WindowsInstaller-KB893803-v2-x86" then got the Windows Update error.
3) Tried to change Windows Update in Group Policy - didn't work.
