I reinstalled my system last weekend (Full reinstall, NTFS with complete
reformat, Windows XP Professional SP2).

Unfortunatly, I've got a lot of problem with it.

There are some installers that won't work at all. When I look in the event
log, I get those errors:

Maplestory (a game) gives me error 1335
Mabinogi (another game) gives me error 1901

What is wrong?

Oh, and Visual Web Developper 2008 gives me that when trying to install the
..NET Framework 3.0:

Product: Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 Service Pack 2 -- Error 1304. Error
writing to file: System.ServiceModel.Install.dll. Verify that you have
access to that directory.

Followed by a ton of other errors...

It seems that the %system% variable does not exist. What can cause that at
Windows fresh installation!?
