Can't install any applications on Vista Ultimate

I had to reformat my HD. I installed Vista Ultimate, activated it, and now I
can't install any programs onto it. For example with Office 2007, I go
through the process of entering the product key, my name, I select my
installation type (minimum) and click "Install" but the progress bar just
sits there and doesn't move. The same goes with every other program I try to
install.

Other stuff:

- UAC is turned on. I also tried turning it off but same thing
- I am the administrator
- Vista copy is legit and activated

And ideas? Thanks.

Are there any external devices attached to the system that might be
interfering with the installation process? Have you checked the Event Viewer
to see if there are any error messages?

It already takes all the horsepower you can muster to just run that bloated
toy operating system. It's no wonder it is preventing you from installing
applications, as that would certainly overburden your system. Minesweeper
is probably the only app you should be running on Vista and then ONLY if
you don't have anything else running at the same time.

Cheers.

How do you know anything at all about Vista doris? You're just a fukkin
parrot for all of the low life linturds from open sores doing your duty
which includes kissing RS's hairy arse.
Get lost doris, you're not needed nor wanted here.

Notice that "NoStop" is going through the same newshub you were accused of
using: "newshub.sdsu.edu."

Also note that NoStop is posting from Canada. Now Canada is known for being
America's attic; you know, the place where we stash our crazy aunts. Don't
pay any attention.

There's no but about it, you're a damn fool and village idiot Frank
and you'll never amount to anything unless you consider being a nasty
stinking troll as an "accomplishment" otherwise you're always be known
as just a loser.

Too much truth for you to absorb in one post? Too bad.
