When I try to install Ezy Access Dashboard Builder Add-In for Access
2002/2003/2007
v1.0 3:40 PM 29/08/2008 I get the following:
"You do not have sufficient security permission to install this Add-In."
I've modified the registry as per the following article suggested be the
readme:
http://allenbrowne.com/bug-17.html
Users now have Allow Full Control and the Read also became
checked after I checked Full Control.
I still can't install.
Any ideas here??

James

Login as Admin and install, or,

Run regedit (from Start, Run).

Go to HKEY_lOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Office,

Then 8.0, 9.0, 10.0, 11.0, 12.0 or whatever, for whatever version
of Office you have.

Then Right Click on Access, and select "permissions".

Give users full permission on that key and all subkeys.

To do this you need to have permission to change the permissions.

You do not automatically have permission as user for this key because it is
in HKLM.

I think the subkey that you need is actually "Menu Add-Ins"

I think that you can probably install the Menu Add In by hand into HK
Current User, if you know what is required.
Access doesn't give you that option because Access development is not really
fully supported, and hasn't been for years, so the installer is still
basically assuming a simple .INI file in c:\windows. It doesn't know that
users registry files exist.
