I am trying to install AA6 on win xp (SP2, all up to date...). There is one
user acct, as admin (as per user mngr) with guest disabled.

When installing, about 1/2 way through err pops up:
Err 1303 installer has insufficient privileges to access directory
c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Adobe PDF 6. Cant continue
contact admin...etc. I see that I also can't access that documents
directory, or its subs, from explorer. Also a privilieges error.

How can I be the one and only admin account buit still be unable to install
or access that directory? I am tempted to reinstall os, but that's always
such a hassle...Any help greatly appreciated ;-) Sorry if posting to a few
groups in not usual, i am a newsgroup noob.

nyc kid:
What happens when you right-click on the "c:\Documents and Settings
\All Users\Documents\Adobe PDF 6."
(folder in question) > Sharing & Security tab (to check ownership)?

There is a General tab and a Sharing tab, but no Security tab. This is like
I'm not an admin account, but according to user manager, i'm the only
account and admin.

With XP Home it's the easiest way to do it. Thanks for the follow up.
