can't insert pictures in Front Page without the page changing

's Computer Specifications

When I do an insert the page goes blank with only the background and the
picture showing, losing all other components of page. How do I fix this?

How big is the image?
Maybe you should outline exactly what you are doing to achieve this.

Make sure you have nothing else selected when you do the insert?
