permission to access the file C:\Data\Mike\Contacts\MP
Outlook backup file.pst."

Any worked with this before?

Thanks.

What happens when you 1) make sure that file is not read-only and 2) use
Outlook's File>Open command to open it? (Never import an existing PST
file.)

Okay, how do I make sure the file is not read-only?

And, I get the same message with I use Outlook's File>Open
command to open it.

problem resolved. It was the read-only issue (right-click
on file, select checkbox on properties). I learned
something.
