Hi all, I've got a mate who uses Windows 2k.

The prob is, he can play MP3's/Videos/DVD's and hear sound
no prob at all.

However, when he logs into 2k, the Windows sounds (login sounds etc)
dont work.

He can't hear them. BUT, if he goes to control panel / sounds, the wavs for
Windows work fine. All the wav files in sounds exist, and you can
hear all of them, when you play them in control panel / sounds.

He's checked device manager, there are no conflicts.

So, why cant he hear them within 2k?? Anyone know??
