can't hear voice recording

Help anybody!
I am trying to use internet telephone skype. I plugged in the mike and in
testing, i can see that the mike is working
ok...but I can't hear my voice.
In control panel "sounds & devices" there are no flags, so everything is ok
there. I went thru the volume Icon setup and everything is ok there too.
What am I missing?

There is usualy a setting in the sound set up to mute the speakers from your
own mic to prevent feed back - you won't hear yourself because you don't
need to but the other party will.
