I have a Dlink 614+ router with a DSL hookup on my
upstairs computer. I also have a laptop with a dlink 650+
card. I was manually able to get the internet to work on
both computers. But when I have tried to run the Network
wizard on XP it stops and states that it cant find a
network connection on that computer. What gives? When I
click on 'check network connections' it shows two
computer icons, one named 'upstairs' and one
named 'laptop'; which I had named both computers. My
workgroup name is 'office'. I am running 98se on my
laptop. When I click on Neighborhood Network, 'Office'
comes up, then when I click, both 'upstairs' and 'laptop'
comes up. I have read about mapping drives, etc. and have
tried this, but can't seem to get anything to work. I
want to be able to share files and folders between the two
computers. I really would like the network wizard to work
correctly to do this for me.
