When creating a Word 2003 doc, when I get to the end of page 1, further
typing seems to be invisible. I can't get a second page to come up unless I
go in and manually insert a page break. It always worked fine up to now & I
haven't changed anything I'm aware of.

In one of those documents, go to Format > Columns, choose "One column" (even if
it's already selected) and click OK.

If that fixes it, and you're having the same problem in all new documents, then
you need to do the same thing in your Normal.dot template. See
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/...ocNotBlank.htm for instructions.
