Hi
Can anyone help me with this?
When I start my computer i get a error of <windows
root>\system32\notoskrnl.exe. Is gone or corupt and needs to be
reinstalled
Can anyone tell me how I can fix this
I have tryed my the repair disk but it will not do anything.
Is there a way I can get this file to reinstall?
Thank You

Easiest would be repair installation of XP (
http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm )

You can try to repair things in the Recovery Console also (be way, way
careful!!!). If you decide to go this route, try these 3 commands:

fixboot
fixmbr
bootcfg /rebuild

Tim;

Can we assume you have an OEM version of XP-Home and that you aren't
dual booted on the same HDD with a *nix distro?

If so, he closest thing I know about is:

http://www.analogduck.com/main/node/294

If you don't get joy there, perhaps the OEM manufacturer has a forum or
service desk you could consult.
