tI've got a strange problem.

We just moved our hosted web site from a MS2000 Server to a 2003 Server.
Using my laptop, I can't access the web to edit it in FrontPage 2003 when I'm
on our network at work (it's an MS SBS2003 Premium Network).

When I try and open the web, I get the dialog box for my username and
password but when I enter them and click OK, the dialog box goes away, I get
an hour glass by the pointer but the site never opens.

When I'm home, with the same laptop, I don't have any problems.

Help, please!!!

Make sure network login is associated with your web site account when connected from work. Which
version of Windows are you running on your laptop, as Windows XP Home is not supported in a domain
network

If the IP address also changed, you may need to wait a bit until the DNS
change propagates. Also, it may help to remove the entry for the web site
from "My Network Places".

First thing I would do is ping the IP address of the website's new location.
If you get a reply, try to connect to the IP address in Frontpage
(http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx). This would bypass the DNS propogation delay. The
IP address should be immediately available. (This will only work if it is a
hosted domain, rather than a virtual host. A virtual host will have the same
IP address as the web server.)

If you can't ping the IP address, I would recommend looking at ISA server
(proxy). Is it possible that a necessary inbound port is blocked which is
not allowing the web server to communicate to your FP client? Maybe the 2003
extensions require an additional inbound port to be opened in ISA server?

Hope this sheds some light on it.

FYI:
1. Some host do not allow their servers to be ping in order to block Denial of Service attacks
2. There are no FP2003 extensions, only FP2002 extensions.
