Can't get some links to work with new IE6 installation

Since I installed IE6 (from a CD) a few days ago I notice some links and web
site addresses don't work. A notable on is the ZoneAlarm web site,
www.zonelabs.com. I just can't get through to it anyway. I tried pinging
it and it pings a loopback address (127.0.0.1). I guess something in IE6 is
making this happen but I'm not sure what it is.

Any suggestions?

John

CANNOT OPEN SOME SITES Three things to try:

1. Clear your TIF and History completely:

http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

2. Check your C:\Windows\Cookies folder and delete any cookies that relate
to the sites in question.

3. Check your C:\Windows\Hosts file as per this article:

Jon,

One of the first things I did was look for the hosts file...but I can't
remember where it's located and haven't found it by searching either. I'm
using Win2000, do you have any idea?

John

It's probably hidden. It's probably under Windows or Windows\system folder.
