Can't Get To Safe-Mode

XP-Pro SP3
KBD: Logitech Wireless

During boot sequence pressing F8 works but when it gets to the menu
screen to choose "Safe-Mode", etc. the arrow keys, etc. no longer work.
Is there any OTHER way to get to safe-mode other than purchasing a cheap
ps-2 wired keyboard?

Thanks

Sure. Purchase a cheap USB keyboard. ;-) I just got a lovely one by Logitech
from NewEgg for around $9.

The wireless drivers aren't loaded at that point which is why your wireless
keyboard isn't working.

The kbd works intially so I guess it UNloads ... makes sense
accordingly. :-)

I could always rob/borrow my wife's wired kbd while she's out shopping.

Tapping F5 instead of F8 should get you directly in safe mode.
Alternatively, bring up "msconfig" and select boot with minimal drivers.

Thanks, will try that if needed but my problem is more than likely
turning out to be a bad memory stick - random BSOD's at system idle.
Replaced two 2 gig sticks with a spare set. Will see what happens.
