On the welcome screen, once I have clicked my User Name this message appears: "

"The system cannot log you on now because domain COMPUTER is not available"

The computer's 'name' is "Computer". The problem started yesterday. I turned
off my computer and about 2 hours later I turned it back on and the message
above appeared. I left it off over night and the problem is still occurring.
Also, at the Welcome screen, it asks me to enter a password when I haven't
activated one. No one else uses the computer except me. I never usually have
to click my username. Can someone tell me what the problem is and any
solutions?

Also, when I go into SafeMode, 'Administrator' comes up in the User name
list and I'm also asked to enter a password for that but again, I haven't
activated one.

Please help!

Not an expert but might help. Have you tried not entering a password, just
leave it blank and trying to logon?

When the logon screen appears, hit alt+ctrl+del twice. That should
bring up the windows 2k style login. From there, try your username/
pass. If that does not work, the administrator's password is blank be
default.
