I cant get my printer to print from any windows programs, dos prompt only

I have an old Okidata Microline 390 that will not print
from windows. It will print if I use the dos prompt. I've
tried everything in the trouble shooter, and on Oki's
website to fix it, but nothing seems to work. any
suggestions?

Uninstall your printer completely as per

Since this printer has the drivers included with XP, after the reboot, use
the Add Printer Wizard to install the printer.
