Every time i try to get from My Computer to My Desktop, the computer closes
down the window i am trying to get it to work in and then displays the
message "Will you please inform microsoft of this problem?" window. i push
send like a good girl, but it then closes my desktop picture down and
replaces it with the "Restore Active Desktop" screen. I have tried restarting
but doesn't help.

Any Ideas???

Are you using Logo+M?

Either way and in the meantime, try another desktop screen and/or change it
back to a native XP theme to test.

I don't know what Logo+M is.
but i had tried 5 times to change the desktop screen, still didn't work.

However, your active desktop fix seems to have worked

Any chance that it will come back? and what would have caused it?
