Help! Whenever I use VPN connection I can not browse the
Internet. The browser is attempting to use the VPN
connection. Suggestions appreciated.

Change the VPN setting for default gateway so that it does not use the
remote gateway.

The VPN admin will also have to enable a feature called split tunneling.

It allows only networks defined by the VPN admin to be sent over the tunnel
as opposed to all traffic. They can also enable split tunneling dns if they
don't want your dns queries being sent over the vpn tunnel.

I'm from the cisco world so it may be called something different from other
vendors, in any case the concepts are the same.
