have window's XP home with sp 2 on it. Use CS as my ISP. When I get on line
then click IE get message Can't locate server. Can get on IE only in one
place. My companie's mainframe computer. Have put a good web page in the
window for IE to open with. In fact have put several different sites for it
to open with. Appreciate any help. Wife is about to turn this computer into
a fishing weight.

Has IE ever worked with CS? (Compuserve?) Dial-up or broadband? Do other
programs access the internet or mail servers? Does Outlook Express work? Any
changes in hardware or software just before the problem started?

Is this a home computer? I don't understand:
