Reinstalling on new hard disk XP Home and Office 2003, Word as email editor.

On a new email, only the To and Cc boxes show.
Clicking same gets 'The address list cannot be displayed. The Contacts
folder assoc with this address list cd not be opened ....'
Clicking OK gets Select Names
In the Show Names from the: pulldown box, under Outlook Address Book is two
Contacts entries; the second one shows all my Contacts in the box below, but
only To Cc and Bcc to put an address in.

How to delete the first Contacts entry?
How to get From To and Cc to show on a new email?

Not sure about the error message, but you can get the From line by
clicking on the arrow next to the Options button and selecting From.

Ah, right, easy as that - thanks.

Still, how to get rid of the duplicate Contacts entry in my last para above,
because the first one, which Outlook defaults to, is junk?

Tools>E-mail Accounts>View or change existing directories or address
books>Next. Select Outlook Address Book. Click Change. Remove the bogus
entry there. Stop and restart Outlook.
