Not sure whre to put this so I guess this is the right place to start.

I have been a member, and a moderator, on www.ferretsforum.co.uk for some time. Recently the forum went off line. It is now back on and most people I know are now on there happily chatting away about their ferrets.

I have deleted cookies, tried a proxy server. tried accessing various pages direct instead of the home page. I get either a Webpage cannot be found message for any other page, or for the home page I get a message from a company called weycrest about cheap webhosting and domains saying

If you see this page, it means that you have set up your web server for serving a new site, but have not uploaded the site content yet.

Any ideas folks on how I can get back on there?

A ferret has probably chewed through a cable somewhere.

It could be that your ISP's DNS server hasn't updated yet, as it sounds like the site has moved servers - this normally takes a few hours but could take up to 24h in some cases. (Unless you happen to be on O2 broadband!).

You could try clearing your local DNS cache by running "ipconfig /flushdns" from the run menu (or command prompt).

It may be that you just have to wait another day for the website domain name to resolve to the new server. If it has been doing this for a while then it could be another problem.

I think we have got progress. I now get the web address and a blank page. I think that is better than the error things I was getting before.

I'm with Orange by the way if that makes a difference.

You have come to the right place. The folk here are good at ferreting out answers to problems.

Ah well she is just a baby, they teeth just like ours do and will chew, adults don't generally chew, unless it tastes like rabbit of course.
