Can't forward or Reply in Outlook 2000

all I get is a notice "The object is not valid." I just loaded office
professional 2000 on my new computer w/ Vista. Had it runnin g on Windows
98SE and it worked fine. Also worked the first couple of days on Vista. Now
all I can get is the not valid notice. HELP?!?!?!?!

Are there any errors in the application event viewer that relate to Office or
Outlook?
I don't believe Vista is designed to work well with that old a version of
Outlook as far as I'm aware.

Thanks for the url's Kathleen. I checked them out and it seems I'd be better
off using Windows mail as the site suggested. It really did not answer my
question on a quick glance, but did mention that the if using Outlook for the
calendar (which is why I wanted to stick with Outlook), I might find the
Windows Calendar had many of the same features. I will definately check it
out more thoroughly tomorrow! Thanks again. Diane
