Hi all,

I can't forward using Outlook 2003. Investigation shows that the exception
is when there are no incoming messages. However, this also does not always
work.

Any suggestions?

Connie

What happens when you forward? Are there any error messages and/or numbers?

Thanks for your quick response. The message sits in the outbox. Goes
nowhere and gives me no error message.

Are you viewing the send/receive progress? Quite often if there is an error,
that's where it's displayed.

Yes...here is the content

1st:

Task 'Connie Sympatico - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC78) : 'Unable to
send the message. Please verify the e-mail address in your account
properties. The server responded: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command
first'

2nd:

Task 'Connie Sympatico - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC7C) : 'Your
outgoing (SMTP) server requires an SSL-secured connection. On the Tools menu,
click E-mail Accounts, select View or change exisiting e-mail accounts, click
Next, select the account, and then click Change. Click More Settings and then
on the Advanced tab select This server requires an encrypted (SSL)
connection. The server responded: 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command
first'

3rd:

Task 'Connections.dbd Inc. - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook
is unable to connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue
to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet
service provider (ISP).'

I have 3 different email addresses that I use for incoming mail...not sure
if that is a problem.

So there is an actually error message and number! That helps alot.
For one thing, ensure that the mail you are sending is authenticating to
your SMTP server. This means if you're sending for example RR email that
you're not trying to send it through a Comcast server.
Also, make sure your send from email address is correct. Check your account
properties and verify all information is correct and exact to what your ISP
recommends. This includes any authentication requirements to their email
servers.

Thanks K...sorry about the 'no message' confusion. I had the details set so
they didn't show. (blush). I will check out your suggestions.
