Can't find server on wireless network

I have a small wireless network with a Netgear Router, a desktop connected
to the router by Ethernet, and another machine with wireless access. Both
machines have access to the Internet. No problem. The machine with wireless
access recognizes the other machine, and I have access to file sharing.

The computer connected directly by Ethernet cable to the router cannot find
the second computer. If I click on Network Neighborhood, both computers are
listed. However, if I attempt to access the wireless machine, or even to
read its properties, I get an error msg:

"The server \\Spongebob could not be found on the network."

I have tried everything I could think of, including calling Netgear. To my
amazement, although they were happy to sell me equipment for a wireless
network, they will not support setting up that network, except for Internet
access.

Can anyone suggest what is going on here?

Thanks.

Dan

What OS do you have installed on the computers? Win9x? Win2000? XPHome or
Pro?

Enable Netbios on TCPIP on both ends, make sure both the wireless and wired
clients are pointing to the router's LAN ip address as their default gateways,
make sure you have valid accounts (same username, same password) on both
machines, and that you have enabled sharing and created at least one share on
each machine. And after doing all that, be sure to reboot each system once
before trying to access the shares from either end...
