For some reason, the microphone i'm using (generic, came
with Dell DIMENSION DIM4550, Pentium 4) does not seem to
work right. I've tried using it on the sound recorder
program on here, and several messenger services (MSN
Messenger 6.0 and Yahoo Messenger). For each one, if the
mic even records any sound, it's only a little bit and at
low volume. I've tried raising every volume button I can
find that has to do with my microphone to no avail. And
Dell's Support Center does not mention anything about
microphones that don't seem to want to work. I would be
grateful if someone could help me work this out, and save
me the money to buy a new one.
