Can't fast forward or rewind clip

Using Movie Maker 2 I captured a 1 hour presentation
using a Panasonic PV-GS120 via firewire to a Pyro
Platinum DV capture card.

The capture process created only 1 clip, and I am not
able to fast forward or rewind. I can start at the
beginning and play through. This is true in Movie Maker
as well as Media Player.

Any one else had this or a similar problem?

not sure why would that happen, but it looks like your file is not indexed. try downloading media file editor (part of windows media encoder on http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...r/default.aspx), open the wmv file and save with index.
