Thats the first thing I did. One problem was repaired and I was unable to
return to Recovery after that for about an hour. Yes, struck me as odd also.
I all my years I've never seen any thing like this.
I have a new 160 gig hard drive arriving late this afternoon. Never tried
before but, can I get to my files as D:? Set up the new drive as c: install
xp and run the current drive as d: then retrieve files only?
