cant edit signature. signatures does nothing

hi

i have set up 3 signatures some time ago, and want to edit one

however i get to the signatures function nothing hapens when i click or
double click it

i am running office 2007 on XP prof media centre. it is uptodate and i ran
diagnostics which found nothing

any helpful suggestions much appreciated.

Roger, are you using Tools, Options, Mail Format, Signatures?

The signature files are usually at "C:\Documents and
Settings\<user>\Application Data\Microsoft\Signatures". "Application Data"
is hidden. You might check to be sure the files are there and not corrupted.

thanks for your suggestion. it does work as a workaround. i was able to edit
them from there. it suggests the link from 'signatures' to the file is broken
