Can't drag and drop in explorer

Hi,

I have a Windows 2000 PC where suddenly I can't drag and
drop files within Windows explorer. This appears to have
coincided with the installation of Symantec AntiVirus but
I can't say for certain. I can still right-click a file
and copy it but drag and drop is definately gone. I was
looking at desktop settings but found nothing about
turning this off.
