hi
just wondering if anybody can help me i have been trying to download sp1 for
months but getting nowhere, ihave dial up and i have downloaded the express
installation a number of times but when it stars to set up a message comes up
that they are unable to find the specific files needed to retry several
times, but still nothing happens then ibegin the procces all over, i have
tried downloading the network update but its to big n takes to long.

any advise would be great im going crazy oh i'm in australia by the way if
that makes any difference.

Are you sure you don't want SP2? Microsoft will send you a CD with it. I
ordered it some time ago and it was completely free but I think now you pay
shipment.

Why oh Why are you not yet even on *SP1*? if you are having difficulty, then
there are many places to get a copy of SP2 (which you should be on) on CD
either for nothing or for a very minimal charge, Microsoft included.

XP SP1 has been pulled and is no longer available. Support for SP1 ended on
10 Oct. 06. Only SP2 is available now.
