I have a link in an email to download an application. When I click on the
link, the File Download window will not open. Using Windows XP Home sp2,
IE6. I've checked all the security, pop-up, firewall settings; disabled some
and nothing. I've compared all the settings to another PC where the download
works and they are all the same. Any other ideas?

Check your email applications (security) settings, not IE's.

Hi

Go to Start > Run and type:
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
click ok
you should get a message that registration succeeded
try the link now.
