After clicking on a movie link, IE6 fails to load the
movie for play in either QuickTime or Windows Media
Player (tried associating these file types with each). It
simply displays a page with a small icon in the upper
right corner (that silly windows icon with the circle,
triangle, & square inside a box). I am able to download
the movie and then run it with either application. In
addition, I am not able to run any kind of streaming
video.

The computer is new and I'm not sure if I ever was able
to view these file types in the browser. I did recently
remove a bunch of applications that were unneccessary for
me. Ex. Outlook and a 30-day trial of Norton that I
removed in favor of a free symantec program available
elsewhere.

Also, image files display with no problems. I'm running
XP.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!
