can't detect last scan

It seems that Windows Defender cannot detect when the last scan was run. At
the bottom of the window, the last scan line always says "not available",
even though my scheduled scan runs every day. And then every now and then
the program tells me that my computer hasn't been scanned for X days. Does
anyone know how to fix this?

Hello 421,

Am I correct in thinking that you are running Ccleaner or another registry
cleaner?

Yes. I do have CCleaner. Is something interfering? How can I fix it?

Hi 421,

In CCleaner
>UNCHECK in Options, Advanced, Only delete files in Windows folders older than 48 hours.
>UNCHECK Windows Defender in the applications. Better: uncheck in Applications, the box for Utilities.

OK, what if I'm NOT running CrapCleaner or any other registry cleaning
tools? I still can't get my Defender to realize it ran a scheduled scan when
the log and Scheduled Tasks confirm it did.

BTW, 2 PCs at home run just fine.

Hi Mike,

At work, Are you logged into the administrator account that installed WD?

Just for the record. What version are you now showing? Mine indicates

Windows Defender Version: 1.1.1593.0
Engine Version: 1.1.1804.0
Definition Version: 1.14.1937.3
Product ID: 81664-845-8098136-04934

Does that check out with you?
