Can't Delete Registry Key

I'm trying to follow the instructions in
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;298370 to
delete the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\LPTENUM
registry key that seems to be preventing tht New Hardware Wizard from
installing a printer. When I right click on the key and select
"delete" it says the key cannpt be deleted.

I've been struggling with this problem for months now. I've uninstalled
everything, downloaded the latest XP drivers, installed the new drivers
and no matter what I do, when all the driver files are copied I get
"New Hardware
Wizard cannot install this hardware. The system cannot
find the file specified."

This all began with the installation of Service Pack 2.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly apppreciated. You can email
me at secondyoko at yahoo dot com if you prefer.

Admins do not get Full Control permissions to the key when it is created by
the PnP subsystem. You do have the permissions to add the admin with full
control to this key. Then you can delete the key.

Thanks but how do I add this permission? Is it an option in regedit?

regedit
select the key, Right click, Permissions,

then add the machine\administrators
grant Full Control. Ok

Now delete the key.
