Can't delete a printer

I had an EPSON printer that died. I got it replaced under warranty and
succesfully installed the new printer (newer model). However, I cannot
delete the old printer from Windows XP. This does not cause any
operational problems as the new printer is my default but its just a
bit of an annoyance.

There is a document in the queue that has been cancelled (back in June)
but is just sitting there waiting to delete.

Is there any way that I can forcibly delete this printer?

Zoobie, go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and look for a Epson
Driver or Software. If there, remove it.
Then go to C:\Program Files and look for a Epson Folder there. Delete it.
Then go back to Control Panel>Printers and Faxes>rt click on the Epson
and choose delete.

Thanks, I did that but there is a document stuck in the queue that I
can't get rid of so it won't delete the printer...it says 'Deleting'
but just sits there.

I think one of the problems is that the document sitting there was sent
from another computer. I used to have a print server installed. I
can't uninstall the print server because the port is still in
use...because I can't change the port until the document is
deleted....I feel like I'm going round in circles.

Open the printers folder, file, server properties, drivers tab, see if you can delete
it there.
