the dump files which windows creates after crashes add up
to over 10 Mb on my system, but when i try and delete
said files (ext.= .dmp) I get an error message
<<Cannot delete file. Cannot read from the source file or
disk>>

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Dave

Try deleting them via a command prompt. Failing that, reboot your system and then try deleting them.
