I attended a MS Office/Vista Launch event, got my key. went to d/l office
professional and it would not give me Outlook 2007, which is clearly included
in the package.

Also still shows that the version I have is a Trial version, rather than the
full blown package

Can anyone help with either of these issues?

The trial version by default doesn't install Outlook for compatibility
reasons when doing an upgrade. Remove the previous version first and then do
a custom installation to verify Outlook is selected to be installed.
Non-trial versions will allow you to upgrade directly and removes previous
versions of Outlook automatically.

Contact the organisation of the event if you believe you got a trial key
instead of a production key.

So now I am sitting here feeling quite exposed.

I uninstalled everything having to do with Office 2003, as uninstalling
Outlook didn't seem to do it. Now I have no Outlook on the system.

I have re-d/l'd Office Pro 2007, CD1. CD 2 won't d/l because it says
business contacts manager can't be d/l'd w/o Outlook 2007 already being
loaded. I'm going in circles.

You instructed me to do a custom install, HOW?

I still only have a trial version on my computer as it has not asked for the
Official key. This process is for the birds. I should have just paid for
the nex copy and been done with it!

Anything you can do to help me get through this would be appreciated. I am
a one my shop and this loss of time is killing me and my buisness.

Thanks

I don't get that remark; downloading doesn't have to do anything with what
is installed already.

"You instructed me to do a custom install, HOW?"
When running Office setup you can choose to customize the installation and
choose what components you want to install. Verify that Outlook is selected.

Confused me too.
I have d/l'd all that the system will allow me to from Download 1. I have
seen the custom window you refer to before, but it shows up randomly and
every time the Outlook .exe has a red x on it. That I am sure was before i
completely uninstalled Outlook. I have not seen that option since then.

I understand what you are saying that d/l has nothing to do with what's
installed. I have only installed excel so far, but Outlook doesn't show up
in the Programs files folder as it has been red 'x'd' each time I have tried
to d/l.

So I just went back to d/l outlook again, clicked on download #1 and it
immediately goes into its full d/l mode not allowing me the opportunity to
select only Outlook nor allowing me the chance to enter the official key. If
I am doing something wrong , I'll be darned if I know what it is.
