Why do I get a message box stating "Can't create Item" if I click an email

go to the internet options applet in the control panel. go to the programs
tab and set Outlook Express as your default e-mail client. After selecting
the apply button, immediately switch it back to Microsoft Outlook. That may
be enough to reset the necessary registry keys so that Outlook can create a
new mail item when clicking on e-mail urls.
