I am trying to copy .tif files from a data dvd to my hard drive. I got about
4 of them copied over and then I got the following error "Cannot Copy Data
Error: (Cyclic Redundancy Check). Now Windows doesn't recognize my DVD drive.
How can I fix this and get the files onto my computer?

That message means that there is a hardware. Most likely, the disk has gone
to disk heaven (or hell as you please).
There may be some software somewhere which can help, but I would not be very
optimistic.
