Can't Copy MPG files

I have several MPG files on one computer. I have shared
the drive that contains these files with my other
computer. However, I can not open the files on the
second computer. Windows will not let me! If I rename
the same file to .TMP, I can copy and open it. If I put
the file into My Documents, it will let me copy and open
it. But it will not let me open or copy the file in its
regular folder. Seems like some type of
protection/copyright problem, but these files are mine
from my video capture card! What is Windows doing, and
how to I set the permission to allow the second computer
to play the files from the first computer?
