Hello
WinXP sp2, p4 2.8, 1 gig ddr ram, ess1969 sound card
I unable to change the line-in volume using the volume control in audio
properties.
The sound card is an ess 1969 and the drivers are native to winxp.
I have various sound recording programmes (audacity, nero soundtrax,
cooledit96) and volume of the line-in is too loud to record properly
and the volume control within the programmes doesn't change anything.
In the volume properties I can change all other record volume controls
except aux and line-in - they are grayed out and I can't move them.
I also have a tv card and when it is in the line-in there is not
control over the line-in volume.
I have full control of the line-out and the speakers for playback.
Does anyone have any suggestions for why line-in volume would be set
this way?
Many thanks in advance
Deb
