I've been trying to fix email: i get the message below. I've checked the
server and everything I can think of. Any clues?

"Unable to logon to the server using Secure Password Authentication.
Account: 'pop-server.wi.rr.com', Server: 'POP-server.wi.rr.com', Protocol:
POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid command', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No,
Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18"

What EMail program do you use?
- Outlook Express? Try an Outlook Express newsgroup.
- Outlook? Try an Outlook newsgroup.
- Thunderbird? Try the Mozilla FAQs.
When reposting, don't forget to state the version number
of your product.

Have you tried unticking

"Log on using Secure Password Authentication"

Assuming you're using Outlook Express
Tools
Accounts...
Mail tab
open the properties for the errant mail account
Servers tab
