Can't connect to remote desktop

Hi,

I have the following configuration: Win XP Pro as the remote desktop client,
Win 2003 server as the remote desktop server, and they are both connected to
the same local network.

In the client browser I get the initial page but when I do Connect, nothing
happens, it just shows the same page, instead of going to the login page.

One note though - I set the server port to 9999 instead of the default 80
because I run an apache server that's listening on port 80 too.

I would appreciate any help.

Thanks,

A

Thanks for your reply.

The computers I am trying to connect are on the same local network, attached
to the same router in fact, so I'm not sure changing the MTU will help - the
links in your post refer mainly to issues involving a PPPoE connection.

In the end was able to connect using the regular Remote Desktop Connection client, but not the web based one, which for now is ok.

Thanks for your replies,
