I have a friend trying to send me an invite for remote assistance & I can't
make the connection.
We both have linksys routers & port 3389 is open & pointing to the NAT
address his router is giving him.
I opened the invite with notepad & tried changing the IP to his public
address & still can't connect.
The message is "REmore assistance connection could not be established
because the remote host name could not be resolved. Pleas try again"
Any suggestions?

try a simple test. Can you telnet port 3389? To do this use telnet public IP 3389.

Check your network addresses.
Both home & work networks were 192.168.1.xxx. I changed the home network to
192.168.10.xxx & it all works like a charm.
