I am not able to connect to servers. My internet works, and I can use a browser just fine, but I cannot connect to things like AOL Instant Messenger and online games. Any idea how to approach this problem? I'm not sure exactly how it happened (problem occurred after installing upgrade to instant messenger), so any advice would be very helpful

Alex,

Are you behind a firewall or router? Instant messenging and online
games can be made to work with firewalls / routers, but it is
sometimes a challenge.

Try and describe your network - and specifically what online games etc
you cannot get to work.
