FrontPage 2000
When attempting to connect to my newly created web site on
my IIS4 Server (accross the room) by using File, Open Web,
Creat New (icon), typing in the location (see below) and
clicking Next...) I get the following: (I've omitted the
whole address so as not to post it to the world)

Error
Cannot connect to the web server
http://216.210.220.xxx:8719 The server could not be
located, or may be too busy to respond. Please check your
typing or check to make sure the Web server is available.

I can have a friend connect from accross town with
FrontPage 2002 and I can connect from my wife's computer
runnig FrontPage 2000 on the other site of the room... Why
can't I?

I get the same problem with any new site I create on the
serve using the IIS control panel. I can connect fine with
all other stage sites on same server as always with one
exception...

When I am connected and working on a site, I can no longer
open a file and select "File, Save AS.." an error occured
type of message pops open about 4 times as I click ok each
time and then finall the file will save... but only to the
root folder of the web... then I can move it to where I
want it. This started happening a couple of weeks ago and
my be connected to the last Windows update that I go, but
that is a guess only.

all of the functions seem to be fine on all webs. (about
40)

I don't see anything in the knowledge base about this nor
am I sure even how to look for help.

Thanks much,

Bruce Searl

Port :8719 is not a http port for FP - use Port 80 or 8080
