Hi,
I have just installed my winxp pro system, and I cannot get connected
to the internet.
I have an adsl connection through a router.
I have entered the IP address on the onboard NIC of the ASUS A7N8X-X board,
for the internet connection. I also have a 2 machine lan and that is working
ok in that data is flowing, but I cannot browse the other machine yet
I see that the TCP/IP protocol is 'only' applicable to the lan, or at least
it looks that way.
How do I know if TCP/IP is working or installed for the internet connection
Also WinXP only wants to use the NIC as a lan connection, and wants to setup
a separate conection for the internet.

Help

Thanks

The first question I always ask is if you can ping the web sites. if not,
check the DNS settings first, or post ipconfig /all here.
