um, can you pls be more specific as to which games pls.

here are at least a couple tips to try out...

1: make sure you the latest drivers for your system.
2: ensure that you port forward the appropriate addresses for your computer
if you have a router.
3: disable unimportant software that also requires access to online
services... ie: download managers like kazaa, winmx or morpheus as well as
kazaa.

with most games from microsoft, you truly need to find the original ip
address to your system when you go online (even if it is dynamic), this in
turn will connect to other computers as a server as well... can't figure out
why they just can't connect most games thru a dynamic ip address versus a
static ip address.

other games made by other companies, just an online connection and the
updated patches to all relevant games as well as either msn game zone or
gamespy or both installed into your system to also launch the games to
connect online.

web browser games just pretty much requires the most updated browser as well
as the appropriate plug-in.

hope this helps a bit.

Good be there is a server problem and it has nothing to do with the updates.
I've sent an inquiry email and will post any results.

This problem began occuring yesterday on many pc's after installing the latest Microsoft Update. I do not run McAfee but I do run Norton System Works, Zone Alarm and had no problems whatsoever until installing last update they notified everyone about yesterday. Hopefully they will patch this soon

Let's keep everyone here in the loop as there seems to be 20 or more postings on Microsoft.com so far from different folks all having this same problem since the update. I expect we will be waiting on Microsoft for the solution to the problem. In the meantime you can go to http://www.zone.com and play the same games online

Thanks
