can't connect to fax service

I installed Fax service through windows component install.
everything is ok. There is a service named fax that is started
automatically.
in (computer management)>(services and applications) when I select property
option of fax I get "could not open a connection to the fax service"
message!
can anybody help me?

You posted in a Windows 2000 Fax group.
Are you sure that's the application you are using?
I suspect not.
